My baby is one!!!

I can't believe it.... I completely forgot to post a picture of my baby who just recently turned one. On her first birthday I wanted to celebrate by taking some fun photos of her. She had other plans and didn't want to take any part in it. But I did capture her smile... which is the best part anyways :)

More of my sister

This morning I was looking at some of the photos I took of my sister during her Maternity session a few weeks past. Now that she has a copy of her photos, I thought I would share more favorites of the day.

Even though it was cold, Krissy and bob were troopers and we got some great shots.
Bob was a little too cold to stay outside any longer, so Krissy and I took the rest of the time to get some more 'mommy' shots in.

The Hudson Family

Last week I stepped out of my comfort zone. Way out ... and said yes to photographing a friend and her beautiful family. Karen has been asking me, FOREVER, to come out to her small town and take some pictures so she can have something to hang on her walls. I must have been in a crazy mood because not only did I say yes to photographing a family that is not my own, but I said yes to photographing them that same day. Talk about spontaneous me ... maybe I should change my name to "Suzie Q", right Karen ?.... lol. So after work we all packed up in their truck and drove to this super cute old-country location ... I loved it... it was so beautiful! The sun was quickly going down and we did end up getting kicked out of the little country town, but we were able to get some really great shots.

Thank you Karen for inviting me to share these special family moments. And because you were such a great sport, I stayed up a little later this weekend so I could show you a couple of my favourite pictures. I hope you like them :)

Krissy and Bob's Maternity Photos

This past weekend I had the oportunity to challenge myself with my first Maternity shoot ... Thank God my first mommy-to-be was my beautiful sister, Krissy. She looked absolutely stunning with her 30 weeks round bump! My brother-in-law as a trooper as well ... even though we knew deep down he would rather be playing Halo:ODST with my husband in the warm house. Being the end of October the weather wasn't the warmest of conditions, so we took some shots inside using some DIY lighting and my mom working as my photography assistant. You rocked Mom... thanks for the help :) Because I don't want to give too much away, here are some of my favourite shots.

We also we able to take the photoshoot outside ... but it was very very cold (Bob's poor ears!!!)

My favorite picture of the bunch :)
